Craft & practice

Built for detail.
Built for the stage.

From digital planning to wearable construction: process evidence from the builds that placed third at the Evo cosplay contest in 2024 and 2026.

01 / Costume

From first pattern to final silhouette

The first Bridget costume was completed in four days and has continued to evolve through multiple upgrades.

02 / Props

Large-scale, lightweight, travel-ready

Elphelt’s oversized weapon was built in three days with lightweight materials and a modular design for transport.

03 / Character

Makeup, shape, movement, expression

Each interpretation translates a 2D design into a complete live presence—from contour and costume lines to stage poses.

Light integrated into the build

Six types of LED strip were selected for different costume details. Custom-designed yo-yos combine transparent and opaque parts with space for lighting and batteries. The handcuffs separate into three sections for travel, while the boots use resin soles cast in silicone molds.

Structure behind the silhouette

A scan of ONESAYA’s head informed a custom-fit, resin-printed support joint. Carbon poles support the hair ornaments, and the large hair ring separates into four sections using twist-lock joints and magnets. Airbrushed gradients and heat-transfer motifs complete the costume.
